Muslimsk Studentsamfunn warmly invites you back to the Scandinavian Quran Competition 2026, showcasing the remarkable male and female Quran talent from across Scandinavia

As Muslims, we are encouraged to compete in goodness, and this competition deepens our connection with the Noble Quran, fosters friendships, and builds community. Join us here in Oslo to make history, acknowledge the Quran’s beauty, and witness remarkable talents from across Scandinavia.

CATEGORIES

This competition is open to participants in the following categories:

Hafidh

The "Hafidh" category is for competitors up to the age of  35 

5 Juz

The "5 Juz" category is for competitors up to the age of 25

1 Juz

The "1 Juz" category is for competitors up to the age of 20

PRIZES

Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 participants in each category (both male and female):

#1 Place

First place will receive a prize with the value of 15 000 NOK!

#2 Place

Second place will receive a prize with the value of 9 000 NOK!

#3 Place

Third place will receive a prize with the value of 7 500 NOK!

*These are the prizes for Hafidh category. Note that the latter prizes represent the value of the prizes and are not paid in cash. We apologize for any misunderstanding. Last years prizes for the rest of the categories included: More cash prizes, El-scooter, smartwatch + other appliances

Timeline

Here you have an overview over the lead up to the competition

Stage 1

October 23nd - January 10th:

Registration deadline December 31st. After registration the participants will be appointed their audition times. The audition process will be overseen by the judges and they will choose which participants that proceed to the finals!

Stage 2

January 31th:

The grand finale. We invite you to our event hall to witness the remarkable talents that are competing in goodness and displaying the blessings bestowed upon them

The competition will be part of our bigger "Allah says..." event and will take place in Oslo in shaa Allah. *Location will be specified*

Who do i contact with questions?

Does the Quran Competition require me to recite a particular Juz for the 5 or 1 Juz category?

- 1 Juz: any Juz of the participant’s choice | 5 Juz: either Juz 1–5 or Juz 26–30 chosen by the participant


Who can participate?

- This event is open to Scandinavian males and females up to the age of 35 (i.e., anyone that either holds a passport/national ID from a Norway, Sweden/Denmark or lives in one of those three countries). Please note that different categories have different age limits.


What are the prizes for the different categories?

- For the Hafidh category  we have following prizes: 1. Place -> item(s)/gift card worth 15 000 NOK. 2. Place -> item(s)/gift card worth 9 000 NOK. 3. Place -> item(s)/gift card worth 7 500 NOK. The prizes for the other categories will be shared closer to the finals date in shaa Allah!


When are the auditions?

- The audition period is late December - early January (dates will be specified in the future in shaa Allah).

Towards the end of the registration period, you will receive an email with more information about the date and time of your audition. You can expect to receive this email no later than December 20th. Auditions will be held digitally over Zoom.


What about travel, food and lodging fees?

- Simple accommodation will be offered for participants traveling from other cities or countries within Scandinavia. However, travel expenses, including flights, must be covered by the participants themselves. Food will be provided to the finalist during the competition


How is the competition organized and structured?

- The Quran Competition will consist of two rounds, designed to showcase the talents of participants across different age categories. The first round will be a private, digital audition phase, followed by the grand finale event on January 31.


How much does participation cost?

- Participation is totally free, all you need is the correct intentions.


What do you mean with independent or representative?

- If you wish you can choose to represent a mosque, organisation etc. This makes no practical difference and will not affect your probabilities of progressing.
