Ar-Raheeq Al-Makhtum (The Sealed Nectar) is a chronological biography of Prophet Muhammad, covering his lineage, birth, the pre-Islamic Arabian context, the revelation, the Meccan and Medinan periods, the major battles and treaties, and his final years, drawing on classical seerah, hadith, and historical sources. The book was written by Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri and won first prize in a worldwide seerah-writing competition held by the Muslim World League in Mecca in 1979, out of 171 entries submitted. This medium-size hardback edition, published by Darussalam, is a widely used English translation intended for general readers, students, and libraries wanting a comprehensive single-volume reference on the Prophet's life.
